Why I’m Running:
The East Bay Regional Parks District is a treasure that offers not only breathtaking natural beauty but also essential recreational and educational opportunities for people of all ages. My vision for the EBRPD is rooted in three core principles: preservation, accessibility, and community engagement.
As a long-time resident of the East Bay, I have experienced firsthand the value that our regional parks bring to our lives. Whether hiking the trails of the East Bay Hills, enjoying the shoreline, or participating in environmental education programs, I have seen the positive impact these parks have on our community’s well-being. I am running to represent Ward 4 on the EBRPD Board of Directors because I believe in the importance of preserving and enhancing these spaces for current and future generations.
I would be honored to have your support in this endeavor. Together, we can continue to protect, improve, and celebrate our extraordinary park system.

Preservation of Natural and Cultural Resources
I am committed to protecting the rich biodiversity, scenic landscapes, and cultural heritage of our parks. I will prioritize the preservation and acquisition of significant biologic, geologic, and historic resources within Alameda and Contra Costa counties. As we face the challenges of climate change, I will advocate for adaptive management techniques that ensure our parklands are resilient and sustainable for future generations
Enhancing Accessibility for All
Our parks should be welcoming and accessible to everyone, regardless of age, ability, or economic status. I will work to improve access to parks and trails for underrepresented groups, including persons with disabilities, economically disadvantaged individuals, and elderly visitors.
I believe in fostering a sense of inclusion and belonging in our parks. I will support programs and initiatives that reflect the cultural diversity of our community and create meaningful outdoor experiences for all.Strengthening Community Partnerships
Collaboration is key to the success of our parks. I will actively seek partnerships with public agencies, nonprofit organizations, volunteers, and the private sector to achieve mutual goals that benefit our parks and community.
I will ensure open and inclusive public processes that encourage community input and engagement in decision-making. Your voice matters, and I am committed to representing your interests on the EBRPD Board.Fiscal Responsibility and Transparency
As a steward of public funds, I will prioritize the fiscal health of the EBRPD. I will work to ensure that our parks are well-maintained, our employees are well-supported, and our programs are of the highest quality, all while maintaining financial transparency and accountability.
